Такой эффективный режим питания соблюдает множество людей, которые озадачились вопросом, как быстро похудеть на кг? Some of the United States' most homogenous cities attract a surprisingly diverse set of newcomers. Others still seem to be magnets for white people, but more on that later. We know this because every year, millions of people choose to move across county, state or even country lines. There may be extenuating circumstances, but broadly each person who relocates is expressing a strong preference for where they want to be and whom they want to be with. With detailed census data, we can see their preferred destinations among the 100 largest metro areas, and — crucially for this post — which places draw in a broad spectrum of Americans and which are attractive only to a certain subset. Outgoing movers, net migration and other components of growth will have to wait. But more nuanced patterns will emerge when we adjust for size and break down figures by race and ethnicity. New York wins the overall popularity contest, as you may have guessed. The nation's But when you take population into account, New York vanishes and is replaced by other locations that are luring residents with strong economic growth (San Jose, Calif.) or a large university (Provo, Utah) or a military presence (Virginia Beach, Va.), and thus tend to have more transient populations. Asians trend in the opposite direction: Almost one in every 10 Asians who moved during our time period ended up in the greater New York area. Part of this is the result of immigration — 3.3 percent of U. residents who identify as Asian moved from other countries during this period. Non-Hispanic whites and Hispanic residents of all races end up in New York, but their preferences after that diverge. Boston and Denver are popular among whites, but don't even register in the top 10 for Hispanics, who favor Miami and Southern California, which includes Riverside, San Bernardino and Ontario. As we've seen before, established population centers dominate any chart based on population. With few exceptions, smaller, trendier towns such as Durham, N. C., don’t make the cut regardless of their universities or economy. But when we adjust for size, the Durham-Chapel Hill area, in the heart of North Carolina’s Research Triangle, ranks in the top 10 destinations for Asian (5th), white (6th) and black (7th) movers. Overall, it ranks up with Virginia Beach and Colorado Springs as the metro areas with the highest share of recent arrivals. The chart suggests that people who moved recently are looking outside the traditional coastal population centers, as well as established central-state behemoths such as Chicago, Dallas and Houston, and toward the South and the mountain West. The exception is Asian movers, who tend to follow a more traditional pattern. It also gets a bit distorted by places that draw significant numbers of new arrivals for education or military service (or both). Colorado Springs’ metro area, for instance, includes Army and Air Force bases, as well as several universities and the Air Force Academy. El Paso and Virginia Beach are also military destinations. The above chart answers only “which places are most attractive to each group,” a question in which the same metro could conceivably top all four broad categories, and not “which places bring in movers of just one demographic.” Many metros on this list show up multiple times — there are newcomers of every race and ethnicity in Virginia Beach, Durham and Washington, D. But what are the trends in areas that have a narrower appeal? The next chart goes beyond broad national trends to the point that it may not really be considered a measure of popularity. Instead, it reveals those regional towns where each group may be either sorting itself or repeating long-established patterns of concentration. This can be distorted by small numbers — the 19.8 percent share of new black residents in the Boise, Idaho, area is based on a total black population of 6,111 — but even in cases in which they don’t show a significant population movement, they show where new faces are having the biggest effect on a group’s presence. Broadly, one thing stands out: White people love Colorado. Denver, Aurora and Lakewood together account for the 21st largest metro area in the United States in terms of total population by our measure, yet it’s the seventh most popular among whites. Taking into account population, Colorado Springs and Denver are the second and third most popular destination among whites. And even relative to their already substantial white populations, both metro areas are in the top seven in terms of how many new, white faces they have. Each of the four groups in the above chart are diverse. The whites or Asian Americans moving into one area may be of completely different ancestry and demographics from those moving into another. This only gives the broadest outlines of who tends to end up where. But that reinforces the chart’s message, which is that places that once had no diversity to speak of are attracting groups that had little traditional presence in the area. Look up and down the columns for each race and ethnicity, note the regions and states where each has a substantial new presence, and you’ll recognize how millions of moves to hundreds of places are literally changing the faces of midsize American metro areas. The top net payout yields had a large gain in December far outperforming the benchmark S&P 500. The top 10 net payout yield stocks averaged yields of 12.6% to start January. Allergan remained the top yielding stock on the list with a yield of 23.1% to start January. This article is a continuation of a monthly series highlighting the top net payout yield (NPY) stocks that was started back in June 2012 and explained in August 2012. The series highlights the best stocks for the upcoming month utilized in part to make investment decisions for the IB Asset Management model that has beaten the S&P 500 for six out of the eight years on the platform. Please review the original articles for more information on the NPY concept. Below are two charts highlighting the monthly returns of the top 10 stocks from December (see list here). For presentation reasons, the chart is broken into the Top 5 and Next 5 lists and compared to the S&P 500 benchmark index along with the Cambria Shareholder Yield ETF (SYLD), which offers a fund for comparison purposes that is aligned with the net payout yields concept. The Top 5 stocks had a strong month in December to end 2017 following a few disappointing months. The S&P 500 index produced another solid gain, but Century Link (CTL) and Seagate Technology (STX) had big gains in excess of 8% to cap off the year. CBS (CBS) had a 5% gain to mostly offset the nearly 6% loss of Allergan (AGN). AIG (AIG) had a small loss during December that didn't impact the monthly return. In total, the Top 5 stocks gained 4.3% for December in comparison to the 1.0% gain of the benchmark S&P 500 and the strong 2.5% gain of the Shareholder Yield ETF. The Next 5 stocks had another solid month for December. Mc Kesson (MCK), Discover Financial Services (DFS) and American Airlines Group (AAL) had solid gains of at least 3%. Corning (GLW) and General Motors (GM) had losses that offset the good month. In total, the Next 5 stocks gained 2.3% for the month, outperforming the S&P 500 and and slightly dipped below the 2.5% gain of the Shareholder Yield ETF. In all, the top 10 stocks ended the year on a strong note led by the large gains from Century Link. In total, the NPY stocks generated a 3.3% gain in comparison to the 1.0% gain of the benchmark index and 2.5% gain of the comparable ETF. Allergan remained in the top spot on the NPY list with a yield above 20%. As well, the top four yielding stocks remained in the top positions. The market had no changes to the index despite dips in the bottom yielding stocks to below 9%. As a warning, Allergan is likely to fall off the list when the company reports Q4 results that won't repeat the stock buyback from Q4'16. The biopharma is working on repaying debt that brings up the benefits of the shareholder yield in comparison to the net payout yield concept. The shareholder yield includes a benefit for debt repayment and penalty for stocks issuing debt to repurchase shares. JPMorgan recently highlighted that corporations were increasingly utilizing debt in order to buy shares. The amount of debt-financed buybacks are up over 30% now and a cautionary note that growing debt balances is a red flag, especially with a lot of stocks trading at expensive P/E multiples. The average yield fell to 12.6% to start January, down from 12.9% to start December. The buyback yield dipped to 9.3% due to the stock gains. The dividend yield dropped for the month to 3.2% due again to stock gains mainly from the high dividend paying Century Link. The yields of the NPY concept continue to normalize due to the soaring stock market. The average stock on the list has more sustainable share buybacks and dividends that are more attractive than large, one-time purchases. Allergan remains an interesting stock after topping the list due to a one-time buyback last year that will soon drop off the calculation, but the biopharma plans more share repurchases and repaying debt that helps the shareholder yield. Again, repaying debt is favorable when the research by JPMorgan suggests that a larger percentage of share buybacks are financed by debt these days. Ultimately, the NPY concept provides plenty of opportunities for these companies to repurchase cheap shares that currently exceed 9% of the outstanding shares on an annual basis. Even better, the high yields will protect these stocks from any future market correction, offering a level of safety. Disclosure: I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. Here are 10 things you may not know about Florida's Space Coast: 1. We launch rockets, we claim Kate Upton as one of our own, and all those bikini billboards on I-95 lead you to the world-famous Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach. We have the nation's first and only resident airport "ambassadog." Never heard the term ambassadog? Well, that's probably because it didn't exist before last year when the Orlando Melbourne International Airport welcomed Kuma to its terminal. Kuma is a 10-year-old black Labrador that serves the airport and its guests as a "comfort" animal, there to relieve stressors associated with flying. Navy during a performance evaluation from the submerged submarine USS Tennessee in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Cape Canaveral. Kuma can offer a furry cuddle or friendly lick to the face for anyone who needs a pick-me-up. According to Britain's Sunday Times newspaper published Sunday Jan. Kuma has a unique certification that provided her training for an airport setting. 22, 2017, an unarmed nuclear test missile fired by a British submarine off the coast of Florida in 2016, misfired and the failure was allegedly covered up ahead of a debate in Parliament on the future of the Trident missile system. British Prime Minister Theresa May has refused to say whether she knew about the reported failure. (AP Photo/Phil Sandlin, FILE)Everyone knows we launch rockets, but did you know we test missiles here, too? The Naval Ordinance Test Unit based right here in Brevard usually tests the SSBN Trident II D5 missile system way out yonder in the Atlantic. Rest a little easier tonight knowing that this unit is ready to knock down any nuclear warhead that could come our way. “Whose mere presence deters enemies from even thinking about attacking? The Ballistic Missile Submarine," said Command Master Chief Tracy Kuchta at a recent LEAD Brevard session presentation. "In terms of firepower, it’s the fifth most powerful in the world. Port Canaveral may be the reason you have salt in the pantry. The port plays host to Morton Salt, which annually produces about 200,000 tons of pool, premium water softener, sea salt and agricultural salts. The vision for the Cape Canaveral Space Port and Kennedy Space Center will blow your mind. NOTU provides test and evaluation of the SSBN Trident II D5 missile system, validating these mighty weapons system to ensure continued peace.”Boom baby. The salt is shipped from the Bahamas to Port Canaveral where it is manufactured at the Morton Salt facility. Think we have a lot of launches and launch pads now? Morton Salt has had a partnership with the port since 1990 and even expanded its operations in 2015. Check out the master plan from Space Florida that shows 12 launch complexes, a skid strip and a stratolaunch facility. Patrick Air Force base serves more retirees than it does active service members. There are 43,000 retirees that utilize PAFB, 125,000 if you include their families, and there are only 4,000 military men and women on base. Although Port Canaveral is the second busiest cruise ship port in the world, it also ships tons of cargo. Total personnel is 15,500 if you include civilians, contractors and dependents. In 1982 backhoe operator Steve Vanderjagt was clearing an area around a pond that would become the Windover Farms subdivision when he stumbled across human remains … Of course, the busiest place on the base is the Manatee Cove golf course, of which 74 percent of golfers are retirees, said Chief Master Sergeant Michael Worden at a recent Leadership Brevard session. One of the greatest archeological discoveries in history happened in ... One of the greatest archeological discoveries in history occurred in …. very, very old human remains.“The remains uncovered at the Windover site were between 7,000 and 8,000 years old, making them 3,200 years older than King Tutankhamen and 2,000 years older than the Great Pyramids of Egypt," according to Florida Frontiers. Nearly 200 separate, intact burials were excavated at the Windover site in an underwater cemetery. Maybe those Titusville "ghost town" accusations a few years back were meant literally... It looks as if Titusville has yet another claim to fame. The city is the only place in the world where a certain type of gangling herb can grow. It's fancy scientific name is Dicerandra thinicola Miller, but experts call it the "Titusville mint" for short. It has a strong minty smell and may have long term medicinal use. It grows along a narrow, 13-mile strip between the Titusville wellfield (between State Road 405 and SR 50) and Mims. The city has taken precautions to preserve the rare and endangered species. A piece of Melbourne will appear in this year's Super Bowl. That shiny piece of metal that flies through the air just before kick off at the Super Bowl comes straight from, you guessed it, Brevard County. The Super Bowl coin is made by a company called The Highland Mint. Of course, not to be confused with the Titusville Mint. The company is based in Melbourne and has designed and manufactured the Super Bowl coin since 1994. The Space Coast doesn't get sinkholes (at least so far). Every property owner in the county can let out a big sigh of relief, because sinkholes are not among the disasters that will likely haunt our coastline. Unlike Central Florida areas such as Apopka that have seen massive sinkholes form overnight, Brevard County's geological makeup doesn't allow for that kind of crazy quick sand. "We don't have sinkholes in Brevard County," said county spokesman Don Walker. "We've had culverts collapse, washouts and emergency road closings ... Because of our geological makeup, we don't have sinkholes." The Florida Geological Survey shows where sinkholes have popped up across the state, and not a one has ever been in Brevard. Oh, and we also don't get direct hurricane hits, either. There has never been a major hurricane landfall in Brevard County since records began being kept in 1851, said Phil Klotzbach, a hurricane researcher at Colorado State University. *Knock on wood.*Among our famous Brevardians is Jim Morrison, the late great rock star and lead singer of The Doors. Morrison was born in Melbourne and his childhood home is still standing, a modest cottage on Vernon Place. Somebody lives there, so don't be weird and stalk the house. Get this, though, according to the Brevard County Property Appraiser the home's latest market value was only $194,550.
Я похудела на кг за недели не ела ничего,состояние было хреновое,пила только воду и минералку. It’s been a year of difficulty and strife, but also of remarkable creativity that leaned into those tensions and tried to resolve them—or at least, to inspire a way forward. Adweek’s 10 Best Ads of 2017 tackled plenty of challenging themes—among them, journalism and politics; race and bias; and social causes including anti-bullying and gender equality. Congrats to all the winning marketers and agencies. The list also includes horror and humor (in the same spot); a celebrity endorsement; a meta defictionalization of a failed 1960s ad pitch; a sports initiative that was more a test of human potential than an advertisement; a beautiful campaign from a leading social platform; and a work of art that happened to be one of the most effective PSAs ever made. The end of the world was on everyone’s mind in 2017. And advertisers were right there with us—in epic spots like “Last Days” from Jose Cuervo and “Christmas 2117” from Edeka. But Halo Top, the ice cream brand, beat them all with its grimly amusing, Kubrick-esque robot apocalypse spot, directed by You Tuber Mike Diva. The scene of an elderly prisoner being force-fed ice cream by a bot overlord, as a kind of postwar olive branch, was at once horrifying and hilarious—the perfect primer for horror-movie audiences who saw it before screenings of It, among other films. The ad wasn’t to everyone’s taste, but Halo Top CEO Justin Woolverton’s instinct to try something different paid off. And so did his choice of Diva as director, a master of crazy visuals (who told Adweek he was hopped up on Four Loko when he dreamed up the plot).“Everyone you love is gone,” the bot tells the woman, in the year’s most unexpected laugh line. “Originally it was supposed to be ‘Everyone you love is dead,'” Diva said. “Which is way more hard-core.”Nespresso turned out the year’s best celebrity spot, getting longtime spokesman George Clooney to deliver one of his best commercial performances to date—without saying a word. The Oscar winner flees a rain-drenched movie set to rendezvous with Andy Garcia for a cup of Nespresso in some cloudless paradise, and along the way pops up in classic Hollywood road-trip scenes, from Psycho to Seabiscuit. (Clooney helped choose the movies himself.) The visual trickery, by director Grant Heslov and Framestore, is seamless. And the storytelling is charming, from Clooney’s wordless reaction shots to the goofy but winning twist at the end. P&G and BBDO delivered one of corporate America’s most evocative statements on race with this two-minute spot, in which black parents through the years are seen having “the talk” with their children about the difficulties and dangers of growing up black in the U. The attention to detail is remarkable, the acting sublime, and the emotions—from fear to pride—come through crystal clear. P&G framed the ad not as a political statement but as a reflection of real life. These are, after all, conversations black families have been having for generations. Still, the goal was to expand the talk about bias beyond the black community, and inspire a world with equal voices, equal representation and equal opportunity for success.“Great advertising opens hearts and changes minds, but doesn’t have to stop there,” a P&G rep said of the work. “We believe great advertising can inspire real, lasting change. That’s the aspiration behind ‘The Talk.'”One of the 10 best ads of 2017 was created in 1968—at least, fictionally speaking. That year, within the world of AMC’s Mad Men, Don Draper presented a campaign for Heinz ketchup that didn’t show the product at all—just close-up images of food practically begging for ketchup. This audacious idea to sell something through its absence came a full 25 years before Jeff Goodby dreamed up “Got Milk? ”Heinz rejected Don’s ads on the show, but David Miami convinced the client to run them exactly as Draper had envisioned them—a meta exercise in defictionalization which, though the ads were 50 years old, couldn’t have felt more fresh and modern. David painstakingly re-created the work from scratch. But chief creative officer Anselmo Ramos joked that he’d gotten Draper (who would be 91 today) to cough up the real thing. “We had a couple of Old Fashioned’s,” Ramos said, “and he gave me the mechanicals.”David Miami also had an incredible year on Burger King, including the Cannes Grand Prix-winning “Google Home of the Whopper” and “Burning Stores” campaigns. But it was “Bullying Jr.” that felt most broadly effective—a hidden-camera experiment that made a surprisingly poignant statement about bullying. Perfectly on brand, with the product at the core, the spot was expertly crafted (by “Evan” director Henry-Alex Rubin) and cleverly called out not the bullies but the bystanders—showing the simple steps that can put a stop to bullying in the moment. In a year of taunts about fake news, journalists memorably advertised their search for the truth. Williams starred in the artful and intense “Am I Typecast? ” short film for The Atlantic, by Wieden Kennedy, about asking tough questions. But it was The New York Times and Droga5 that laid bare the political stakes, and the difficulty and value of finding the truth, in their stark ad series “The Truth Is Hard.”The first spot, which rankled Donald Trump, aired on the Oscars in February. But it was Darren Aronofsky’s spots in April that brought home the visceral danger of reporting in the field—through the stories, and camera rolls, of photojournalists Tyler Hicks and Bryan Denton.“Instead of being maligned and mistrusted, journalists should be respected and thanked,” Aronofsky said. “I hope the commercials pay tribute to the important work these men and women have done and continue to do.”Nike and Wieden Kennedy have made countless brilliant ads together over 30 years. This year, they tried something altogether more ambitious, even crazy, as Nike made a serious run at a sub-two-hour marathon—one of most fabled barriers in human athletics. The project, called Breaking2, was Red Bull Stratos-like in its exploration of the limits of human potential, except it was more product-centric. (The Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite with Nike Zoom X midsole was created specifically for the run.) In the end, Kenya’s Olympic champion marathoner Eliud Kipchoge missed the goal by just 25 seconds. Yet his time—a full two and a half minutes faster than the world record, though it didn’t count officially—was widely considered stunning. W K named the project, worked with Uncle Toads Media Group and Dirty Robber to construct the live event, and teamed with Mindshare, Twitter, Facebook and Google to create a multi-platform live stream that was viewed by nearly 20 million people. According to Brandwatch, the hashtag #Breaking2 accumulated over 2 trillion impressions. In its pursuit of a barrier often thought impossible to break, it also inspired runners all over the world.“I’m sure there are people who think we’re a big, greedy corporate monster that only wants to sell shoes,” Tony Bignell, vp of footwear innovation for Nike, told Wired. I hope people will be inspired.”W K created another of our favorite campaigns this year—Instagram’s “Stories Are Everywhere” by W K Amsterdam. The huge—and hugely entertaining—campaign went way beyond digital, spanning everything from film to out-of-home. It was colorful, energetic, playful and superbly crafted, with almost all the creative made using the app’s Stories feature itself. No other campaign this year was as joyful in celebrating the creative process itself, using same tools being advertised to actually craft the message. The result was the heightening of everyday moments into art—but in a way that felt perfectly accessible. The out-of-home was also surprising and fun, with witty visual stories splashed across a canvas much larger, of course, than the app—but a scale that nonetheless felt emotionally true. The themes of immediacy and spontaneity also forced W K to approach the storytelling, and its production, differently. The biggest challenge was keeping everything “low-fi and homemade,” said Thierry Albert, creative director at W K Amsterdam. “We always tend to overproduce things in advertising, and it would have been wrong here. From the print shoot to the film production, everything can be replicated by someone with a phone and the Instagram app. And we improvised a lot, like you’d do in real life with your mates. There’s a low-key, homemade feel to it that’s so refreshing.”On April 28, the rapper Logic unveiled one of the most creative and culture-embedded PSAs ever made—his song “1-800-273-8255,” named for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number and created in partnership with the federal government initiative. The song, featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid, begins from the point of view of someone calling the lifeline and confessing they “don’t want to be alive.” Soon, the person fielding the call is offering words of hope, and by the end of the song, the caller is committed to fighting for life. (“I don’t wanna cry anymore/I wanna feel alive/I don’t even wanna die anymore.”)Logic came up with the idea for the song, then worked with the NSPL to maximize its exposure. On the day of the release, the lifeline received over 4,573 calls, it second-highest daily volume ever at the time—and a 27 percent increase from the usual volume. 27 at the MTV Video Music Awards; the next day, the line received 5,041 calls. The NSPL website saw a monthly boost of 100,000 visits, from an average of 300,000 up to 400,000, in the two months after the song’s release. Google searches for the phone number doubled immediately after April 28, and they remain consistently 25 percent above the previous average today.“It’s an honor for us to be working alongside Logic to help people in despair find hope and meaning,” Dr. John Draper, director of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, said on the day of the release. “By sharing these stories of recovery from individuals who have been there and have survived their own crises, we can change the conversation about suicide from one of tragedy and isolation to one of hope.”Logic has called the song the most important he’s ever written, and it’s easy to see why, as it has saved an untold number of lives. In the end, no other work of brand advertising in 2017 was as conceptually strong, or as culturally breakthrough, as Mc Cann’s Fearless Girl statue for State Street Global Advisors. The bronze sculpture, crafted by Kristen Visbal, was instantly iconic and literally an overnight sensation. Dropped in New York’s Bowling Green Park before dawn on March 7, staring down the famous Charging Bull, she brilliantly embodied female leadership in business, which SSGA supports by investing in firms with women leaders through its SHE fund. Mobbed within hours, Fearless Girl became the city’s hippest tourist attraction. She’s also one of advertising’s most inspired creations ever—forged from an ancient medium, yet perfectly crafted to deliver the most modern of marketing messages. She also weathered storms, from the ire of the Charging Bull artist to accusations of hypocrisy after SSGA parent State Street was forced to pay $5 million for allegedly underpaying women and minorities. Yet each crisis only amplified her message, redoubling her influence. She blazed through the advertising awards circuit, too, winning top prizes at almost every show, including a well-deserved four Grand Prix (and 18 total Lions) at Cannes. But most important, she was—and remains—an inspiration to the next generation. No one who has seen any of the thousands of photographs of little girls posing with Fearless Girl can doubt her immediate power—the physical embodiment of a vision of everything they can be, in a world that so often wants them to be something else.“What we make is so ephemeral. To make something that might be around for a while is so gratifying,” senior art director Lizzie Wilson told Adweek shortly after the statue’s debut. She needn’t worry—Fearless Girl is one for the ages.

This includes lakes, the Adriatic coastline, national parks, imposing mountain ranges, UNESCO heritage sites, some of the most beautiful medieval towns in the country, and an eclectic and diverse cuisine that changes from the beach to the mountains. With no crowds, easy access from Rome and its own airport in Pescara (servicing some major Italian, UK and European cities), Abruzzo has something for everyone, from the food and wine traveler (and don't expect to pay what you would in the big cities) to the adventure and sports traveler. Then there's Rosaria and her mum Annabella, who run cooking classes (Cooking by Rosie) by the sea in a small town near Pescara. Here guests are taught how to make at least two types of traditional pasta, then there's the local wine to wash it down with. "Historically, any tourism here has been because of the national parks and for skiing in winter. So food and wine is another, and perhaps unexpected, drawcard for visitors and one which Abruzzo is slowly beginning to capitalize on."When it comes to wine, Abruzzo is famous for its red Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, produced with the Montepulciano grape, distinct from the Sangiovese grape used to make the Tuscan Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The majority of the region's wine production is in Chieti province and some of the first bottles of Montepulciano that received the coveted DOC ( denominazione di origine controllata) quality assurance label are on display at the Eno Museo wine museum in Tollo (), who also produce award-winning extra virgin olive oil, and Villa Carrene, a family-run vineyard and cellar located a few miles from Sulmona in the medieval town of Prezza, offers wine tasting by appointment (The area gets a heavy and lasting snowfall each year and with the Cinquemiglia (a five-mile long, 1,200-meter-high plain), Abruzzo gives other Alpine destinations a true run for their money (at a fraction of the cost). Away from the crowds of more famous medieval towns like Tuscany's Siena or San Gimignano, places like Pescasseroli, Tagliacozzo and Santo Stefano di Sessanio provide even more authentic regional experiences and stunning scenery (some even with castles). Abruzzo is touted as the greenest region of Italy due to the number of national parks within its borders and most towns sit off dramatic cliff faces or with imposing mountain ranges as their backdrop. "Here in these towns you can walk the streets and enjoy the tranquility of a world gone by and it's where century-old traditions are honored, like the Malmozzetto medieval festival held in Prezza each August."Sulmona is famous for being the capital of sugared almonds, known as "confetti" in Italian, and torrone, classic Italian nougat. The city sits within a UNESCO-protected valley, once a lake that disappeared in prehistoric times. Guardiagrele in Chieti province is fast developing a local reputation as a foodie town. It even has its own sweet, Le Sise delle Monache, which literally translates as "nun's breasts", so named for its rounded, perky shape.

Michael Jordan retired suddenly before his Jordan 9 hit the streets, but that didn’t halt any plans to continue his signature line. The lightweight Air Jordan 10 arrived as a tribute to Jordan, lined with his accomplishments on the sole, and worn around the league by players in other cities, including Sacramento. It was all premature, though, because Jordan wasn’t actually done. He returned to the Bulls in 1995, wearing the number 45, and ready to shake off rust to help lead his team into the postseason.
Говорю т.к.
Dec , . It's been a year of difficulty and strife, but also of remarkable creativity that leaned into those tensions and tried to resolve them—or at least, to inspire a way forward. Adweek's Best Ads of tackled plenty of challenging themes—among them, journalism and politics; race and bias; and social causes.
